Kevin Doheny is a retired psychologist who has been with the OGMS Theater Company since 2014. He is the stage director of OGM Theater and also co-runs the OGM Theater Workshop. Mr. Doheny is an award winning costume designer and he designs and creates all of the costumes for the shows. His fantastical creations have attracted national media attention and have helped put the OGM Theater Company on the map as the premier children's theater company in the southwest metro.
Bryan Blessing has been teaching choir and general music classes at OGMS since 2004. He received his BA in Music Education from Saint John's University and his MA in Music Education from the University of Saint Thomas. He completed his National Board Certification in 2021. Mr. Blessing is active as a performer, most notably as a baritone with The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists, where he also serves as Music Advisor. At OGMS, Mr. Blessing teaches all choirs, 6/7/8 grade general music classes, directs the Oak Grove Singers and after school Show Choir, and co-directs the OGM Theater Company.
Jim Jaeger has been working behind-the-scenes for OGM Theater since 2015. As Stage Manager, Mr. Jaeger helps run daily rehearsals and keeps the show running during performances. Mr. Jaeger creates the graphic designs for our theater’s logo, show posters, flyers, social media and T-shirts. He also puts together the videos for our show announcements, auditions, press/media relations, and edits our show DVD. Jim was active in his High School theater as an actor and orchestra percussionist. He has an extensive background in Live Television Production and has worked as a News Videographer and Editor for many years.
Gabriel Hansen is a twin cities actor and lighting designer who is ecstatic to be working for OGM as the technical director. He attends NCC and is overjoyed to be on his path towards a degree in theatre performance. He cannot wait to share his love of theatre with the students of OGM as the season progresses. During shows you can see him in the back of the auditorium directing students who prefer the technical side of the magic of theatre.
Emily Morse is a former OGMS student. Her first musical with Oak Grove Theater Company was Alice in Wonderland back in 2011. She was a student assistant with OGM Theater for two years before becoming choreographer in 2017 for Madagascar. Miss Morse took dance lessons for 12 years and has been involved in theater since she was four years old. When not Choreographing for OGMS she co-runs OGM Theater Workshop, and often assists other production departments like costuming and props. Miss Morse is also involved with other Bloomington school productions.
Jana Miller, Costume Coordinator
Mrs. Miller has been volunteering with OGM Theater since 2019, helping out in several departments including set dressing and painting, props, and cast makeup. In 2021 she took over the role of Costume Coordinator, assisting with the daily costume fittings during rehearsals and performances.
