Bryan Blessing has been teaching choir and general music classes at OGMS since 2004. He received his BA in Music Education from Saint John's University and his MA in Music Education from the University of Saint Thomas. Mr. Blessing is active as a performer, most notably as a baritone with The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists, where he also serves as Music Advisor. At OGMS, Mr. Blessing teaches all choirs, 6/7/8 grade general music classes, directs the Oak Grove Singers and after school Show Choir, and co-directs the OGMS Theatre Company.
Kevin has been with the OGMS Theater Company since 2014. He took over as head costumer in 2016 for OGM's production of The Lion King. He co-runs Drama Club at OGMS and co-directs the OGM Theater Company where he is also the Director of Costuming. His fantastical creations have attracted national media attention and have helped put the OGM Theater Company on the map as the premier children's theater company in the south metro.
Matt has been teaching Language Arts at OGM since 2016. He received his BA from Saint John’s University, where he worked as a technical supervisor for fine arts programming. He was also a part of many music ensembles and jazz groups. He has worked with many exciting groups, doing technical work and performing with The Wailers, Jim Brickman, and the Minnesota Orchestra. He has been involved in OGM Theater since the 2016-17 production of hairspray. Mr. Delfs is in charge of light design, sound production, and occasionally, drumming for our shows.
Emily Morse is a former OGMS student. Her first musical with Oak Groves theater company was Alice in wonderland back in 2011. She student assisted with Oak Grove for two years before becoming choreographer in 2017 for Madagascar. Emily took dance lessons for 12 years and has been involved in theater since she was four years old. When not Choreographing for OGMS she spends her summers in Pennsylvania Choreographing for the 5 summer musicals put on at Camp Starlight.
Roger first preformed on the Oak Grove Jr. High stage over 45 years ago as Buzz Bonecrack. In the years since, he has stayed active in theater with hundreds of shows at dozens of venues. After a few early appearances on stage he has worked primarily as a Technical Director/designer with most of his work done with an educational focus. Roger holds a PhD in Education from Old Dominion University and currently works for Bloomington Public School’s Dimension Academy as the liaison at Normandale Community College. He is also the Technical Director at Apple Valley HS. Roger returned to Oak Grove Middle School with the Wizard of Oz and he is looking forward to continuing to work with the great students there.
